5/29/2020 Powerpoint For Mac 2016 Helvetica Neue
Apr 07, 2020 The fonts I want to replace (Helvetica Neue and Helvetica Light) are not used visibly on any of the slides. I am using the Lato fonts, half of which I am able to replace, the other half I can't replace (see video). Tried: Creating a new document Helvetica does not appear in the Replace Font window of the new blank document, Arial and Calibri do. That’s not unusual because Mac computers have Helvetica but Office for Mac doesn’t support font embedding. For example, here’s a document in Word 2011 for Mac with both Helvetica and Arial fonts. Notice the difference between the right down stroke on the capital R – it’s almost vertical in Helvetica and more of an angle in Arial.

The Helvetica Neue Light is a variation of the Helvetica font which maintains a lot of the characteristics of the original Helvetica. It is simple, minimalistic, round and yet elegant. The Neue variant of the font has these same characteristics. There is only a slight variation in the design of both these fonts and they can be easily used instead of each other. However, if a graphic designer pays a lot of attention to detail, he will realize that Helvetica Neue is slightly less round than the original Helvetica.
This fact can be used for creating a different look in advertising copy and even signage.Check out. I wasted most of an afternoon with font issues. I have a PDF, done on a Mac, that I need to edit in Acrobat on a PC. No Helvetica Neue on a PC! After a lot of endless searches I found your site.

It too some experimenting but this font seems to be the match for what is in the PDF. I’m guessing this is the best match for what you would have on a Mac for Helvetica Neue, even though it doesn’t say “light” in the font. If you know a better Mac equivalent, please let me know!
At least for the PDF, this one is working well.
